Become a coach

Coaching is a powerful way to utilize and practice the skills you have learned in Faithwalking and deepen your connection to the community.

Faithwalking Foundations NEW COACHES Training

Prerequisites

  1. Completion of M1, M2, and M3 or FW101, FW201, and FW202 or FW301
  2. Interview (30 minutes) with the trainer
  3. Completion of Coaches Training application form
  4. Encouragement to financially support FW in the amount you are able to for the duration of the coaches training (12 months)

Training

First phase (3 months):

  1. Complete the first 3 Coaches Training Series videos and submit a 1 learning reflection about each video to the trainer. Work independently online.
  2. Complete the first 3 sessions of FW202 and submit homework to the trainer. Work independently online.
  3. Listen to 3 recorded coaching calls and submit a 1-page learning reflection to the trainer. Work online independently.
  4. Read When All Else Fails by Wayne L. Menking and submit a 1-page learning reflection.
  5. Complete 1 supervision session (1 hour) with the trainer at the end of the first phase.

Second phase (9 months):

  1. Complete the remaining 9 Coaches Training Series videos and submit a 1 learning reflection about each video to the trainer.. Work independently online.
  2. Complete the remaining 9 sessions of FW202 and submit homework to the trainer. Work independently online.
  3. Coach 2 modules of Faithwalking Foundations. Coordinate with FW Houston.
  4. Complete 8 supervision sessions (1 hour each) with the trainer (4 coaching calls need to be recorded to be debriefed with the trainer).
  5. Read one of the books listed below and submit a 1-page learning reflection to the trainer.
    1. Growing Yourself Up by Jenny Brown
    2. Extraordinary Relationships by Roberta Gilbert
  6. Sign the coaching covenant and continuing education agreement.

Coaches may begin training at any time. Fee does not include books. Google Classroom will be used as a platform for coordinating communications and assignments.
